Tingala Float Technique

Spencer Janney of Denver’s The Preservery demonstrates how to add a Tingala float to a cocktail. This technique adds an intense tingle to almost any ordinary mixed drink.

1) Prepare a drink and pour in a cocktail glass.
2) Holding a bar spoon above the glass, fill the spoon with desired amount of Tingala liqueur.
3) Slowly pour Tingala from the spoon (or from a shot glass over the back of the spoon).

This creates a stunning amber top layer and gives depth and complexity to the cocktail.

How the Tingala Float works: Spirits with a higher ABV/proof level are more buoyant than other spirits/mixers, so when added to cocktails naturally float on top. At 50% ABV/100 proof, Tingala works perfectly as a float.
